Climate adaptation is already happening on Indonesian farms, forests and factory floors. The question now is whether capital can find these solutions fast enough to help them scale.
On Thursday, 17 September 2026, Paloma Sjahrir Foundation, together with Koalisi Ekonomi Membumi (KEM) and Seneca Impact Advisors, hosted “The Impact Pitching Session” at Impact Hub Jakarta, Anomali Coffee Cipete.
Six Indonesian impact enterprises presented their business models, impact approaches and growth plans to Seneca Impact Advisors, which is seeking scalable, commercially viable climate adaptation and nature-based solutions with measurable impact. The impact enterprise lineup showed how wide this space has become:
- Forestwise sources traceable rainforest ingredients with indigenous and local communities in Borneo, making forests worth more standing than cleared.
- SOBI connects sustainable wood products from community cooperatives to buyers, and supports FSC and SVLK certification.
- Boolet repurposes discarded chopsticks and skewers into durable, recyclable products, giving everyday waste a second life.
- MYCL turns agricultural and forestry waste into mycelium-based biomaterials, including its mushroom leather, Mylea.
- Tana Lab maps soil microbiology and uses its TanaSense engine to prescribe the right beneficial organisms for each farm block.
- Arconesia helps smallholder farmers diversify through climate-smart intercropping, linking them with financiers, suppliers and off-takers in existing oil palm areas.
Beyond the pitches, Seneca Impact Advisors shared international benchmarks and insights relevant to these impact enterprises, and the discussion turned to the realities of scaling in Indonesia and where future collaboration could take shape.
For impact enterprises, adaptation solutions often fall between the cracks: too commercial for grants, too unfamiliar for mainstream capital. Putting founders in the same room as partners who can get them investment-ready, and connect them to the right investors, is one way to help close that gap.
Thank you to everyone who pitched, and to KEM and Seneca Impact Advisors for partnering with us.
