Impact Investors Social 2026

Last Wednesday, Paloma Sjahrir Foundation co-hosted the “Impact Investors Social”, a business-casual networking evening focused on Indonesia’s impact investment landscape and the role of sustainable value-chain ecosystems. The event was held in collaboration with Indonesia Impact Alliance, Earth-Centered Economy Coalition (KEM), YCAB Foundation, and DealStreetAsia.

Impact investors play a vital role in shaping a more inclusive and sustainable economy. Yet many early-stage impact enterprises face a tough reality: low-margin models that take longer to mature, climate solutions that require heavy experimentation, and a persistent funding gap where the “missing middle” remains largely overlooked.

In Indonesia, only a small share of institutional capital is climate-aligned, with most investments flowing to large-ticket projects. This leaves many promising enterprises, especially those seeking USD 100,000–1 million to scale, struggling to access the capital they need.

The evening kicked off with shared insights from Ratna Kartadjoemena (Paloma Sjahrir Foundation), Veronica Colondam (YCAB Foundation), Atika Benedikta (Indonesia Impact Alliance), and Fito Rahdianto (Earth-Centered Economy Coalition / KEM), with Aastha Saboo (Maheshwari) (DealStreetAsia) guiding the session.

The conversations that followed were candid and engaging, surfacing shared perspectives, challenges, and ambitions, and helping lay the groundwork for new relationships and collaboration.

We’re grateful to everyone who joined us. Here’s to staying connected and continuing to build meaningful impact together.
