In a world grappling with environmental challenges, businesses that prioritize sustainability and carbon reduction are paving the way for a greener future. Following up the Carbon Dialogue on March 10, 2023, Paloma Sjahrir Foundation, along with Ecoxyztem, and P4G Partnerships, hosted the first Paloma Circles – Business Matchmaking to bring together climate startups with investors and potential business collaborators and offtakers.
The six climate startups that participated in the event were:
- Ravelware Technology offers automation solutions for logistics and manufacturing. Ravelware expertise consists in the custom development of hardware, software and AI, and is currently developing a chipless RFID from graphene made from plastic waste.
- Alner (formerly Koinpack) allows customers to purchase consumer goods, such as detergent, shampoo, and food products using reusable packaging. Alner offers rewards so that customers return the packaging.
- Automa Supply Chain offers a supply chain collaboration app which increases visibility across value chains for companies and their verticals. The solution helps companies achieve a net-zero-supply-chain using simple IoT data integration coupled with on-demand professional verification.
- TruClimate offers a carbon accounting platform for businesses and a carbon offsets marketplace equipped with a project origination tool and expert matching ability.
- Biki uses shrimp shell waste to create an odorless, tasteless, and edible coating, which can double the life of fresh fruits and vegetables.
- Village Energy offers advanced distribution network management which digitizes low voltage networks with IoT devices. The solution automates utility companies’ monitoring and control of demand and supply, and enables high penetration of solar rooftops without disrupting the stability of local networks.
Business collaborators that participated in the first Paloma Circles – Business Matchmaking event included East Ventures, eMerge by MDI Ventures, BNI Ventures, Gayo Capital, SMDV, AC Ventures, Danone Ecosystem, PT TBS Energi Utama Tbk, and Coca-Cola Europacific Partners among others.
Through dynamic presentations, engaging discussion, and collaborative networking sessions, climate startups, investors and business collaborators were able to showcase their commitment in creating a more sustainable future.
